The railway operates a diesel service for visitors most Saturdays and Sundays, during the Rural Life Living Museum’s main opening season. Steam is usually reserved for the more popular special events, all dates are subject to change with regards to locomotive or volunteer availability.
Access to the railway is via the Rural Life Living Museum, train fares are £3 per passenger.

Throughout the school summer holidays (until the 11th August), the railway will operate on Wednesdays, with free travel on the railway included in the museum admission. Please note, regular Saturday and Sunday train services are subject to an additional charge on-top of museum admission.
